Lots of fun in California. Great adventure traveling to Anaheim last night. Spent the day at Huntington Beach before heading to the race at 4pm. Belle was a little tired and concerned having a cold, but texted her Mama for some prayers for energy... they worked! Belle came in 3rd of 244 runners, 2nd in her grade. Such a HUGE, but fun race! 4,600 runners, 30 schools, fireworks, vendors, and 23 races. Even though we're a small school, we were put in the large school category, oh well. Belle ran with 212 girls, came in 13th with a 20:30 PR for a 5,000 meter! Belle also broke the high school record for junior girls with a last recording of 2008 anyway.

Nice temps in the 80's finally! 4 schools came to Ftn. Hills, the route was different from our last FH meet but fun. 1st place in girls of about 75. We ran against bigger schools but our whole girls team did really well :)

Hard course, HOT morning -- a lot of throwing up afterwards, especially by the freshman runners, yikes! Finished well, but none of us had good times. Coach said the soft grass made this one harder than usual, weird! Top 10 were recognized with a t-shirt so that was fun! FHHS finished 8th of 16 teams Belle finished 9th of 118 runners

Great weather, flatter course but not well marked, Belle and two others took a wrong turn, but got back on track to keep the lead! 1st finisher of 52 girls from 5 teams. The newspaper has chosen Belle for a write-up tomorrow, they choose one or two per sport season! Who knew, my book smart little girl might just be considered as an athlete :)

Sectionals today. Top 7 boys ran against 18 teams, top 7 girls againts 16 teams, veru fun! The course was a little hard with all the extra loopy loops, but the top 25 could attend state no matter how the team did. Belle finished 6th overall and 1st for Falcons! The boys did end up placing 5th and the girls placed 3rd, so off to state next Saturday they go, yay! 6th finisher of 110 girls!

So glad to be apart of the championship races today. The day was HOT, the course was HARD, but is was fun to be around some amazing runners! Finshed 37th of 158! Bummed but glad the season is over. Gonna miss my new friends but now that my next sport has started, I need to focus on that! Will look forward to running again for the team next year!

Belle's goal was to beat her best Turkey Trot time, she PR'd by two seconds! 35th of 1,067 runners 4th female finisher of 559 1st of 46 to finish in F16-19
